The year 2022 is going to be an exciting one for movie-goers. There are a lot of highly anticipated sequels coming out, as well as a few new franchises. We’ve put together a list of the top 5 movies you’ll want to catch on the big screen in 2022!
For those who don’t know about our list, we looked at all the upcoming movies and made note of what we thought would be the top 5, based on how much hype they have and how big of a franchise they are.

We loved the first Incredibles movie and we’re so excited for the sequel! After a long wait, it looks like we’ll finally see Elastigirl’s story unfold on the big screen. It also looks like we’ll get to meet Edna Mode who is voiced by comedian and actress Wanda Sykes.
Star Wars Episode VIII
Star Wars: Episode VIII is the next installment in the Star Wars series. It will be released in 2022 and will continue the story of Rey, Kylo Ren, and the Resistance. We’re all pretty excited for this one!
Jurassic Park IV
As if there were any doubt as to whether or not someone would make another Jurassic Park movie…
Jurassic Park IV is the latest installment in the Jurassic Park franchise. It’s coming out in Fall 2022 and we can’t wait!
The original Jurassic Park film came out back in 1993 and was a massive success, making over $1 billion worldwide. The second film (Jurassic World) was released in 2015 and made over $1.6 billion worldwide. That’s more than enough reason for them to come out with another one!
While there are still rumors about what will happen in the newest installment of Jurassic Park, we can assume that it’ll be something like the last two. Or at least, similar in tone.

Conclusion
The Incredibles is one of the most popular franchises of all time and it’s not hard to see why. With a perfect mix of comedy and heart, the Incredibles can’t be beat. This is a franchise that has stood the test of time and we can’t wait to see what Incredibles II has in store.
Also on the list is Star Wars Episode VIII, which is set to release in December 2017. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was fantastic, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for us in this next installment.
Jurassic Park IV will also be releasing in 2022 and we can’t wait! The fourth movie in the series has been a long time coming and we’re excited to know that our favorite dinosaurs will return!
Lastly, we have the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them which is already a huge hit! The Harry Potter franchise has a huge following and a new spin-off seems like a great idea.
